Steak & Shake

Well, we cannot wait for the Steak and Shake to open on our side of town. So, when we saw one on the other side of town. We just have to try it.   Burger is okay, fries are fantastic and shake is yum.

The Sharpener of the Century, I reckon....

One of my co-teacher, Mrs. Turner introduced me to Classroom Friendly Supplies Pencil Sharpener.  She was so excited to show me, because like me, she was in search for that best sharpener all her teaching life (34 years to be exact).

Now, let me tell you  - It was quiet and easy to use. It holds the pencil in tight and sharpens to a point.
It's a great size for kids and doesn't require much setup at all.The sharpener comes with an attachment that allows you to secure it to a table so that there is little movement as you sharpen your pencil.  It didn't take very long and there was no awkward stop/start motion like you experience with other sharpeners.

Unfortunately, they were out of stock that day in October.  Finally, they are back on stock and I can't wait for my order to come.

Strawberry picking...

Today, I've decided to take my daughters strawberry picking. I couldn't curtail their excitement (naah, they didn't want to leave the comfort of our house). Well, I didn't expect that we will be sitting on this..

line in front of us

line behind us...

Whew!  Then my car overheats just as we are about to enter the gate...  The police was kind enough to help me with my ordeal as I have no idea what to do...  My husband, who was on the other side of town came to rescue us of our overheating issue.   So, we pressed on.....

What an afternoon!  What an experience!   On the other hand, we have enough strawberry to make jams :).
