Cool Science Teachers

Moon and Venus..

As I was driving home tonight, after searching all the crafty store for that special something to complete my perfect centerpiece for Tuesday's event... I saw this magnificent crescent moon and the planet Venus, I was certain it is Venus.. So bright and so clear.. I gazed in wonder... I attempted to take a picture using my measly Kodak powershot...

I found out from my husband that after the sun, the moon and Venus rank as the 2nd and 3rd brightest heavenly bodies, respectively.

Shrinky Dinks....

Shrinky dinks has been around but lately my daughters have this fascination with it. They tried to figure out what's the science behind it..

starts big

curls in heat

flattened and shrinked

finished product

Both shouted "we shall find out why"... and off they went...

Friday

Ribs.....

Texas Roadhouse ribs was featured in Food network and my family insisted that we should try.. so tonight is the night... We all ordered the half a slab ribs...

Verdict: It's okay! nothing special needs more barbecue sauce for me.
